Unai Emery believes Saturday’s game against Liverpool will be a “big challenge” for Arsenal, but also a “good test” of the Gunners’ progress this season.
Emery’s side recently saw a 22-game unbeaten run come to an end, but it was a run of form that has left them firmly in the middle of a tight race for the top four, as they are currently two points behind fourh-placed Chelsea.
Arsenal held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at home earlier in the season, looking like they were on an even footing with a team that has gone on to claim top spot in the Premier League.
Saturday’s fixture is crucial for both teams, with Arsenal chasing Chelsea and a resurgent Manchester United six points behind. Liverpool, of course, are trying to maintain a six-point lead at the top of the league table.
