Chelsea reached the Carabao Cup final after beating Tottenham 4-2 on penalties after their two-legged semi-final ended 2-2 on aggregate.
Goals from N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard put the Blues on the way before Fernando Llorente’s second-half header sent the game to penalties, where Eric Dier and Lucas Moura missed for Spurs.

PAULO GAZZANIGA: Questions could be asked of his role in Chelsea’s first goal as Kante’s shot went through his legs, but the Spurs number two keeper was otherwise solid. 7
SERGE AURIER: Back in the fold after an injury lay-off, he got up and down the flank well. 6
TOBY ALDERWEIRELD: Another premier performance from the Belgian centre-back, who defended for his life to keep Spurs in it. 8
JAN VERTONGHEN: Handed the captain’s armband and put in a heroic performance at the back, producing several goal-saving blocks. 8
BEN DAVIES: Became Spurs’ latest addition to their injury list as he limped out in the first half. 5
ERIC DIER: Produced a tone-setting early tackle on Luiz and was impressive in both midfield and then in a three-man defence. But missed the vital penalty. 7
HARRY WINKS: Busy in central midfield and worked hard alongside Moussa Sissoko. 6
MOUSSA SISSOKO: Returning after an injury and providing much-needed steel and power in the middle of the park before hobbling off with another ailment. 7
CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN: Tottenham’s one remaining attacking star that is not in the treatment room and he was brilliant. 8
ERIK LAMELA: Fought hard, but often lacked quality in vital areas. 6
FERNANDO LLORENTE: Overcame an abject first half to score after the break, which ultimately sent the game to penalties. 6
SUBS:
DANNY ROSE (on for Davies, 32): Offered far more of an attacking presence than Davies and provided a fine assist. 7
LUCAS MOURA (on for Llorente, 68): Could have scored with his first touch but looked rusty on his first game back from a knee injury and also missed from the spot.
DAVINSON SANCHEZ (on for Sissoko, 80): Helped shore up Spurs’ rearguard in the final 10 minutes. 6
