Manchester United and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has promised an update on his future by next week.
It is believed that negotiations between Inter Milan and United are advanced and the forward, who struggled at Old Trafford last season, could find a new home in Italy.
Lukaku has promised an update on this matter by next week.
“You guys [the media] will know something next week,” he told reporters according to Goal.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to provide any clarity on the matter and maintained that the Belgian missed the first game of United’s pre-season tour against Perth Glory in Australia due to an injury.
“Let’s see when the season starts,” Solskjaer said.
“We’ve not had any bids that we’re considering. All my conversations with the players I will keep confidential. That’s between us – that’s my privilege.
“There’s been so much speculation but yes he should be fit for Wednesday. He trained with the team yesterday but he wasn’t useful today.”
