Fantasy Premier League produced a good dose of entertainment in Gameweek 10 as Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez and Christian Pulisic all registered hat-tricks.

The Leicester City duo secured their treble during a 9-0 mauling of Southampton, the joint-biggest victory in Premier League history.

Things don’t get any easier for the Saints in this round as they travel to Manchester City. Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham all have away fixtures at Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Watford and Everton respectively. Arsenal welcome Wolves to the Emirates Stadium.

Here are a few tips to help guide you through GW11.

    CAPTAIN – RAHEEM STERLING | MANCHESTER CITY | 12.1M

Raheem Sterling appears to have moved past his blip this season and looks stronger than ever. His seven goals this season is more than any other midfielder.

The England international currently tops the league for expected goals and assists.

City play host to a Southampton side that were thrashed 9-0 at home to Leicester last weekend and should still be reeling from that beating.

They went down 3-1 to the Citizens in midweek in the League Cup. Encouragingly for Sterling owners, the midfielder was left out of the squad for that encounter, suggesting that he should be fresh and raring to go on Saturday.

    ALTERNATIVES

MOHAMED SALAH (12.4m) is in the midst of a tough run of games and delivered his first returns in four GWs with a penalty against Spurs last time. However, Liverpool travel to Aston Villa this Saturday who have only kept two clean sheets this season.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE (10.2m) is yet to fail in a home game this season, delivering scores of 11, 13, 17 and 6 so far. Southampton’s visit to the Etihad should only see him improve that record.

    BOLD CHOICE

MARCUS RASHFORD (8.4m) has gone under the radar as an FPL asset this season. Despite a missed penalty, the striker was instrumental in United’s 3-1 win over Norwich, bagging a goal and assist. Rashford is one of only five players to have made eight goal contributions this season (five goals and three assists).

    ANTHONY MARTIAL | MANCHESTER UNITED | 7.6M

He’s back to full fitness and should go straight back into your line-ups. Anthony Martial is clearly United’s focal point in attack and as a midfielder played as a striker, he’s invaluable. The Frenchman has three goals and an assist in four starts this season. With Bournemouth up next, he’s bound to be involved again.

    ONE TO AVOID

    LUCAS DIGNE | EVERTON | 5.9M

Lucas Digne is clearly an entertaining option in defence and potential for attacking returns. However, clean sheets are a defender’s bread and butter and Everton don’t look capable of many right now. The Toffees have kept an opponent at bay just once in the last eight GWs. An own goal last weekend didn’t help Digne’s cause.

    BARGAIN BUY

    AARON CONNOLLY | BRIGHTON | 4.6M

While he continues to get game time, Brighton’s Aaron Connolly is quite the steal. The 4.6m forward has managed two goals and two assists in three starts this season. The Seagulls face a Norwich side next that’s dropping like a stone. Only Southampton are worse off than the Canaries for goals conceded and expected goals against (xGA) this season.
