Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits it was a “special feeling” to return to his former club Borussia Dortmund as his side earned a valuable 1-1 away draw in the Europa League.
“Going onto the pitch there was a polite applause and I made a small gesture in return,” the 48-year-old, who managed Dortmund for seven years between 2008 and 2015, said.
“Coming back was good – it’s a great place to play football and the people here are very special as well. It felt special coming back.”
