  • Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus celebrates his goal against RB Leipzig.

Saturday’s fixtures from across Europe threw up a slew of exciting fixtures.

Germany star Marco Reus continued his recovery for Borussia Dortmund with a goal, while Paulo Dybala was the last-gasp hero for Serie A-champions Juventus at Lazio.

Here are four brief match reports of the biggest games:

    RB Leipzig 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Bundesliga top-four rivals RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund had to settle for a share of the points with a 1-1 draw at the Red Bull Arena.

With Schalke, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen all having claimed victories earlier on Saturday, the pressure was on both sides in the battle for Champions League qualification.

After Dortmund had seen two goals ruled out for offside, Leipzig – beaten by bottom club Cologne last weekend – took the lead on 29 minutes through Jean-Kevin Augustin.

The visitors, though, soon levelled when Marco Reus rounded the goalkeeper and neatly slotted home.

Neither team was able to conjure a winner during a scrappy second half – but Dortmund forward Michy Batshuayi somehow missed an open goal just after the hour mark.

The result left Dortmund in third spot, a point behind Schalke, while sixth-placed Leipzig lost further ground on the top four.

    Lazio 0-1 Juventus

Paulo Dybala’s last-gasp goal avenged Juventus’ October defeat to Lazio as the reigning Serie A champions won 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Juve’s bid to claim a historic seventh straight Scudetto was destabilised in the autumn when Lazio won 2-1 in Turin, allowing rivals Napoli to take control of the title race.

But a superb stoppage-time strike from Dybala high into the roof of the goal under intense pressure put the Bianconeri right back on the heels of the Azzurri.

    Troyes 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain

Angel Di Maria and Christopher Nkunku scored second-half goals as Paris St Germain won 2-0 at Troyes to restore their 14-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.

Di Maria broke the deadlock early in the second half before Nkunku’s first goal of the season ensured a sixth straight league victory for Unai Emery’s side, who had seen their huge lead at the summit briefly trimmed by Monaco’s win on Friday night.

PSG made light of Neymar’s absence in their first league encounter since his season-ending injury last week and only a brilliant display by Troyes goalkeeper Erwin Zelazny denied them a more convincing victory.

Neymar successfully underwent surgery in Brazil on Saturday to repair the fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, sustained in last week’s league win against Marseille.

PSG have lost only twice in the league this season – their last defeat against Lyon in January – while Troyes remain deep in relegation trouble after winning only two of their last 10 matches.

    Sevilla 2-0 Athletic Bilbao

Sevilla boosted their chances of playing Champions League football next season by beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0.

Luis Muriel and Franco Vazquez scored within five minutes of each other in the first half to secure a win that moved Sevilla to within five points of fourth-placed Valencia in LaLiga.

Muriel hit the crossbar with a header shortly before he opened the scoring in the 27th minute, finding the net from a narrow angle after being put through by Sarabia.

Vazquez doubled Sevilla’s advantage with a powerful header from Steven N’Zonzi’s cross from the right.

Athletic’s best chance came at the end of the first half when Inaki Williams’ header went the wrong side of a post.
