    Ahead of every round of Premier League games, Sport360 – with some help from our friends at Opta Stats – will provide the pick of the facts and figures. Here are this week's highlights:

    Saturday December 6

    Newcastle United v Chelsea

    • After five home games without a win against Chelsea, the Magpies have won the last two Barclays Premier League matches against the Blues at St James Park.
    • Eden Hazard has scored four goals in three Premier League appearances against Newcastle United – more than against any other side.
    • Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have never won at St James’ Park in four visits (D2 L2).
    • Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 23 games (in all competitions), they have never before gone 24 competitive games in a row without defeat.
    • Jose Mourinho could reach the 400-point landmark as a Premier League manager in this game (currently 398).

    Hull City v West Bromwich Albion

    • Hull City have won two and lost none of the four Premier League meetings with the Baggies (D2).
    • Hull City have scored only two goals in their last six Premier League games.
    • Saido Berahino has now gone 436 minutes without a goal in the Premier League.
    • WBA have lost their last four Premier League games. The last time this happened they sacked their manager (Steve Clarke in Dec 2013).
    • The Baggies have not lost five Premier League games in a row since January 2011.

    Liverpool v Sunderland

    • Liverpool have won five and lost just one of the last nine Barclays Premier League meetings with Sunderland.
    • Sunderland have won none of their last 15 league trips to Anfield (W0 D7 L8).
    • No English player has scored more Premier League goals in 2014 than Steven Gerrard (13; level with Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge).
    • The Liverpool captain has scored one and assisted three more in his last three league games against Sunderland.

    Queens Park Rangers v Burnley

    • QPR have lost just one of their last six home league games (W3 D2).
    • Burnley are unbeaten in their last nine matches against QPR in all competitions (W5 D4).
    • QPR would be eighth if only home games counted in the Premier League this season.
    • Four games without a defeat is Burnley’s longest ever unbeaten run in the Premier League.
    • Lukas Jutkiewicz has attempted more shots (excl. blocked) without scoring than any other player in the Premier League this season (26).
    • Against Leicester last weekend, QPR attempted 33 shots on goal, the most in a single PL game this season. They followed it up by having just five against Swansea City on Tuesday.

    Stoke City v Arsenal

    • Stoke have only lost one of their last eight home games against Arsenal in all competitions (W4 D3 L1).
    • Peter Crouch has scored seven goals against Arsenal, only against Blackburn (8) has he netted more in the Premier League.
    • Alexis Sanchez has now scored three match-winning goals in the Premier League this season; only Diego Costa (4) has more.
    • Stoke have lost their last three Premier League games. They have not lost four in a row since February 2012.
    • Arsenal have scored seven goals in the final five minutes of Premier League games in 2014-15; more than any other side.
    • Mark Hughes is unbeaten in his last six Premier League home games as a manager versus Arsenal (W4 D2).

    Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace

    • Tottenham have won their last two league clashes against Crystal Palace without reply; they’ve not won three in a row since November 1989.
    • Mauricio Pochettino has lost twice as many Premier League games at White Hart Lane (4) as Tim Sherwood did (2), despite taking charge of four games fewer there (7) than his predecessor (11).
    • Christian Eriksen has created more goalscoring chances without actually providing an assist than any other Premier League player this term (28).
    • Tottenham have conceded a season-high five penalties in the Premier League this season.
    • Spurs are kings of the short corner, having taken 24 – more than any other team this season.
    • Palace have won only one of their last eight Premier League games (L5 D2).

    Manchester City v Everton

    • Manchester City have kept just one clean sheet in their last 17 Premier League encounters with Everton.
    • Only against West Ham United (21) have Everton secured more Premier League wins than versus Man City (17).
    • Romelu Lukaku has scored in both of his Premier League appearances for Everton against City.
    • Five of Lukaku’s six Premier League goals this season have come before the 35th minute.
    • Sergio Aguero scored in both of the league clashes between these two sides last season, having failed to score his previous three games against Everton.
    • Sergio Aguero (14) has now scored more goals than Sunderland (13), Burnley (10) and Aston Villa (8) in the Premier League this season.
    • Only one defender – Graeme Le Saux (44) – has more Premier League assists than Leighton Baines (43).
    • Roberto Martinez has faced Manchester City 10 times in the Premier League as a manger, and never been on the winning side (D1 L9). 
    • Frank Lampard has scored three goals in his last three Premier League starts against Everton.

    Sunday December 7

    West Ham United v Swansea City

    • West Ham have won nine and lost none of their last 11 home games against Swansea in all competitions.
    • Swansea have failed to score in their last three Barclays Premier League games against the Hammers.
    • None of West Ham’s last five league goals have been scored by their strikers. Of the previous nine, seven were netted by their front men.
    • 15 of Swansea’s 19 league goals this season have been either scored or assisted by one of Wilfried Bony or Gylfi Sigurdsson.
    • Sigurdsson has eight assists in the Premier League this season; only Cesc Fabregas (10) has more.
    • Of all regular first choice goalkeepers, Lukasz Fabianski has the best saves to shots ratio in the Premier League this season (76%).
    • Andy Carroll hasn’t scored or assisted a single goal in any of his last 10 Premier League appearances for West Ham (756 mins).

    Monday December 8

    Aston Villa v Leicester City

    • Aston Villa have suffered a defeat in just one of their last seven league games against the Foxes (W3 D3 L1).
    • Leicester City have scored in each of their last nine league trips to Villa Park to play Aston Villa, but they have also conceded in eight of these games.
    • The last three Premier League games between Villa and Leicester have seen 13 goals scored (4.3 per game on average).
    • Christian Benteke’s goal against Crystal Palace was his first in the Premier League since March (versus Stoke).
    • The Villains are the only side yet to pick up a point after falling behind in the league this season.
    • Aston Villa are the only side yet to see a single substitute score or assist a Premier League goal for them this season.

    Southampton v Manchester United

    • Southampton have scored the first goal in four of their last five PL meetings with Man Utd but lost three and won none of those four matches. 
    • Wayne Rooney has scored five goals in five Premier League starts against Southampton.
    • Manchester United have won nine and lost just one of the last 12 Premier League games against Saints.
    • This will be the first Premier League game to be contested by two Dutch managers.
    • Just six of Manchester United’s 25 points so far this season have been claimed away from Old Trafford (W1 D3 L2).
    • Southampton have started the fewest spread of players this season in the Premier League (15), while Man Utd have handed starts to more than any other team (26).
    • Manchester United have used a league-high 31 players this season and David de Gea is the only Red Devil to play in all 14 games.
