  • Three stripes of adidas are set to stay.

With Julen Lopetegui now gone and the Copa del Rey taking place tonight, this has to be the time that Vinicius Junior is unleashed at Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old has only featured twice for the first team this season: two minutes against Atletico Madrid on September 29 and 10 minutes against Alaves on October 6.

But interim coach Santiago Solari knows first-hand what the Brazilian wonderkid can offer having coached him at Castilla this term.

And with Solari temporarily in charge of the senior team, the Copa del Rey is the perfect setting to unleash Vinicius Junior alongside the likes of Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos.

Madrid have not won the competition since 2014, but in Vinicius, Los Blancos have a real jewel who could help them bring domestic cup glory back to the Bernabeu.
