  • Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel believes Kylian Mbappe will become the best player in the world one day.

The 19-year-old has made a stunning start to the new season with 13 goals in 11 games for the Ligue 1 champions.

The Frenchman became the youngest player to score 40 goals in the league in the last 45 years after netting in the 2-0 victory over Lille on Sunday.

But for all his dominance, he has been questioned by Barcelona legend Xavi about his lack of “football maturity”.

Asked about Xavi’s views on Monday, Tuchel said it was normal that Mbappe – at 19 – still had room for improvement.

“It’s normal for him to get better. He’s 19,” he told a news conference ahead of PSG’s Champions League clash against Napoli.

“He’s amazing. He’s one of the best players in the world and he’s going to be the best.

“Xavi is right. He needs to improve on everything, it’s totally normal when you’re 19.”
