Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez could miss next month’s El Clasico clash with Barcelona after being sidelined with a broken toe.
The Spain international has made just nine appearances this season and is facing a race to be fit for the first meeting of the campaign with the La Liga leaders on December 18.
A statement on the club’s website read: “Following the tests carried out today on our player Lucas Vazquez by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with a fracture to the distal phalanx of the first left toe.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
