    1)   NEYMAR (Barcelona) – 8.43

The Brazilian took his tally to 14 for the season with two goals and a late assist. He tucked away a Dani Alves corner after 22 minutes and met Jeremy Mathieu’s cross with a neat flick early in the second half. Neymar continues to be at the fore for most Barcelona attacks and turned provider to send teammate Messi in from close range for the Catalans fourth.

    2)   ARITZ ADURIZ (Athletic Bilbao) – 8.00

Aduriz registered a hat-trick as Athletic Bilbao overcame Rayo Vallecano 3-0 at home. His first goal was a gem and underlined his intelligence on and off the ball. A well-measured through ball found Aduriz and he nonchalantly beat keeper Juan Carlos from close range to put the hosts in control.

    3)   ALEXIS (Getafe) – 7.85

Held the defence effectively during Getafe’s 2-0 win against Villarreal. With Angel Latifa milking the headlines for his clinic finishing, Alexis epitomised a voracious work-rate on and off the ball and proved to be a menacing presence throughout the match for the winners.

    4)   DANI ALVES (Barcelona) – 7.81

Consistently one of the best defenders in La Liga, Alves has an eye for space and providing key passes to unlock opposition defences. He assisted Neymar’s early goal, and was again to the fore to play-in Luis Suarez for a tremendous strike just before half-time.

    5)   ANGEL LAFITA (Getafe) – 7.71

Lafita was a thorn in Getafe’s 2-0 victory over Villarreal as he scored one and assisted Alvaro Vazquez’s 51st minute strike. Getafe’s win brings them to 13th in La Liga – two points ahead of Real Sociedad and Sporting Gijon.
