Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri provided the biggest hint yet that he could take up the Juventus job which was left vacant ever since the club announced that they parted ways with Massimiliano Allegri.

There have been rumours that he could return to Italy after his first season with Chelsea was not particularly smooth. Sarri has always been at the receiving end of criticism at the London-based club and he could leave them just days after leading them to Europa League glory.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 60-year-old admitted that the call of home is strong and hinted that he could answer it.

“For us Italians the call of home is strong. You feel that something is missing. It has been a heavy year. I begin to feel the weight of distant friends, elderly parents I rarely see. My loyalty to Naples? [Francesco] Totti was the last one-club man,” he said.

Goal reported that Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is leading the race to become the next Chelsea boss.
