Each week, Sport360 will be bring you the best five players from La Liga, as chosen by you the supporters through our ValoraFutbol fan ratings tool.

YOU have direct influence on who appears in each Top Five so be sure to rate each weekend.

    1) LIONEL MESSI (BARCELONA) – 8.68

The Nou Camp legend had an eventful afternoon in Catalonia as Barcelona pummeled visitors Getafe 6-0 to stretch their unbeaten run to 37 games in all competitions.

Messi warmed-up nicely for the Spanish giants’ Champions League second-leg against Arsenal with one goal (his ninth in five matches), three assists and even a missed penalty – Barcelona’s eighth spot-kick miss of the season.

The 28-year-old set-up Munir El Haddadi for a headed goal after 28 minutes and laid on two goals for Neymar, either side of his penalty miss and a goal for himself.

    2) SABIN MERINO (ATHLETIC BILBAO) – 7.91

Athletic Bilbao maintained their push for a Champions League berth next term with a comprehensive 3-1 victory over Real Betis – largely thanks to forward Merino.

The powerful striker scored either side of half-time to put the hosts in control and deputised for veteran top goal scorer, Aritz Aduriz, who was on the bench.

Merino, 24, has netted five La Liga goals this term and showed excellent composure in front of goal.

    3) ANDRES INIESTA (BARCELONA) – 7.50

The Barcelona icon pulled the strings in the centre of midfield as he helped Luis Enrique’s men win for the 12th La Liga match in succession.

Iniesta, 31, was substituted on the hour mark to save his legs for the upcoming clash with Arsene Wenger’s men but still had enough time to show his mastery on the pitch.

    4) NEYMAR (BARCELONA) – 7.48

The Brazilian clearly loves playing alongside Messi and the two world-beaters are in a league of their own, along with unused substitute Luis Suarez.

Neymar netted two at the Nou Camp, with both goals assisted by Messi, to take his total to 25 goals in all competitions this season.

It means the two superstars have a combined total of 61 goals as Barcelona close in on a hat-trick of trophies once again.

    5) YEVHEN KONOPLYANKA (SEVILLA) – 7.41

The Ukraine star thumped in a magnificent goal from long range as Sevilla beat Villarreal 4-2 in the game of the La Liga weekend.

Konoplyanka, who can operate on either flank or behind the striker, has hit eight goals so far during his debut season in Spain and become a key player for Unai Emery’s side as they look to maintain their charge towards the top four.
