IAGO ASPAS (Celta Vigo) – 7.8

Iago Aspas scored a brace as Celta Vigo stormed to an emphatic 4-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna – their biggest win over their Galician rivals since 1955.

The Spaniard brilliantly tucked away a penalty on the hour, before doubling his advantage on 83 minutes with a neat right-footed finish.

Celta Vigo are now eighth in La Liga – two points behind Athletic Bilbao in sixth.

    SANDRO RAMIREZ (Malaga) – 7.6

The former Barcelona player produced a sterling performance as Malaga beat Leganes 4-0 at Estadio La Rosaleda.

The Spaniard was instrumental in cutting apart the Leganes defence, teeing up Gonzalo Castro for Malaga’s second, and even adding a third after the break.

It was a confident display from the 21-year-old which could have easily seen him secure the top Valora position any other week.

    MARIANO (Sevilla) – 7.5

The Brazilian right-back was in commanding form as Jorge Sampaoli’s men secured a crucial win over Deportivo.

Mariano defended bravely and played a big role in ensuring Atletico didn’t force an equaliser late in the game.

FABIAN ORELLANA (Celta Vigo) – 7.5

Utilised behind Aspas, the Chilean did well to close down the Deportivo midfielders and held the ball up effectively around the middle third.

Orellana set the Balaidos alight with his determination and commitment going forward, weighing in with a goal 12 minutes from time.

    STEVEN N’ZONZI (Sevilla) – 7.5

The former Stoke City midfielder scored the only goal to inflict a first defeat on Atletico Madrid in La Liga this term.

With thirteen minutes remaining, N’Zonzi skipped past Atletico’s defence to pounce on Luciano Vietto’s through-ball and net the winner.

It was also Sevilla’s first win over Atletico in six years.
