1. IVAN RAKITIC (BARCELONA) – 7.7
Ivan Rakitic scored the fifth goal, linking up with Aleix Vidal to great effect, in an emphatic 6-0 win over Alaves but that was just one aspect of his performance on the day. He showed great energy again as he bossed the midfield and dictated play.

2. LIONEL MESSI (BARCELONA) – 7.7
The Argentine was heavily marked and largely crowded out at the start but he’s well accustomed to that treatment and had the last laugh. He found space as the match went on and looked dangerous before pouncing on the opportunity that came his way to score the third goal.
Messi is only 15 GOALS away from his 500th official goal for Barca.

3. VITOLO (SEVILLA) – 7.6
Amidst talk of his decision to turn down Atletico Madrid last summer, Vitolo put in a good performance against Las Palmas to secure a 1-0 win for Sevilla. The forward was a constant threat, winning free-kicks and putting the opposition’s defence under pressure.

4. ARITZ ADURIZ (ATHLETIC BILBAO) – 7.6
The Spanish international was at his best in a 2-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna. With the scores tied at 1-1, the birthday boy, who turned 36 on Saturday, scored a dramatic winner in the 89th minute.
