The historic rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona is immense and has recently taken to the social media platform as well.
Both La Liga giants registered 100 million likes on Facebook on Sunday. However, Los Blancos managed to reach the milestone first in what was a heated race.
Madrid announced the feat at 0138 GST while Barcelona were only able to cross the mark at 1041 GST.

It is claimed that the Catalans did their very best to overtake their rivals, even resorting to private messages to their followers, persuading them to help see the club over the line.
