  • Luka Jovic is confident he can establish himself at Real Madrid and justify his big-money summer move.

The Serbia striker arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer for a reported 60million euros (£53.7m) but has started just three games, as a resurgent Karim Benzema leads the team with 18 goals in all competitions.

Jovic insists he has the faith of coach Zinedine Zidane and is desperate to repay him by breaking into the line-up on a more regular basis.

He told Gloria magazine in Serbia: “He (Zidane) has told me that he trusts me, that he is happy that I am there, and that he did a lot to get me to Real Madrid.

“I am happy and I hope to play more minutes.

“It is not easy for any young player to make it to the club, never mind actually getting playing time.

“I have confidence in myself, in my quality and know that I will eventually get more pitch time.”
