Lionel Messi may have won innumerable individual and team trophies throughout his glorious career but the Argentine craves for more success.
At the start of the season, the five-time Balon D’or winner spoke about Barcelona’s objectives for the season and mentioned that the team will go all out in the Champions League.
“My main goal is to keep growing and not to be content with what I’ve done, won or achieved,” he said at a promotional event for Unisports and Adidas.
“I want to get better each day and complete more objectives and win more titles.
“I consider myself very competitive. I like to win everything and don’t like to lose at all.”
The forward – who recently won the Pichichi award for being the top goalscorer in La Liga last season – spoke about how he’s getting accustomed to a deeper role and prefers pulling the strings from behind.
“I see myself more so as a player who controls matches, who participates a lot with the ball and who makes the play go more than I see myself as a goalscorer,” he said.
