Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been able to attract some big names during his tenure at Anfield and there are even former players who would love to join them.

One of the stars from Liverpool’s last Champions League success in 2005, Luis Garcia, says Klopp’s attacking concepts means he would have embraced the challenge of playing under the German boss.

Cult-hero Garcia was an integral figure during the Reds’ run to Istanbul back in 2005 and also Athens in 2007, though he did miss the final through injury.

Liverpool face Tottenham at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday with ambitions of lifting their sixth European Cup.

The 40-year-old has been impressed with the work of manager Klopp and you can see what the Spaniard had to say in the clip above.

A lookalike (doppelganger) of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was mobbed by Liverpool supporters in Madrid the day before the Champions League final.

Liverpool face Tottenham at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday.

More than 30,000 English fans are expected to travel to watch the final at the 68,000-capacity Metropolitano, which is home to Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool and Tottenham were each allocated nearly 17,000 tickets but Spanish authorities expect many thousands more to make the trip without tickets or pre-arranged lodging.

Roberto Firmino

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is fit for Saturday’s Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur despite missing the end of the Premier League season, manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Friday.

“From his point of view, yes, he is ready,” Klopp said at a press conference in Madrid on Friday, just before his squad, with Firmino, trained on the pitch at the Metropolitano Stadium.

However, Klopp refused to say whether Firmino – who has been struggling with a groin problem – would start, joking that he would only do so if Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed his line-up.

“If Poch afterwards says the exact line-up then call me, then you will know. If not, I thought I’d keep at least a few question marks open.”

Klopp added: “He is fit, he has trained, you will see him later, he is here, and if nothing happens from the moment when he left the plane to now, then he should be fine.”

The Brazilian did not feature in Liverpool’s last three matches and before that only came on as a late substitute in their 3-0 victory over Barcelona in the first leg of the semi-final.
