“We strongly believe that sports creates a foundation for the future generation to develop physical and cognitive skills as well as hone their overall personalities to become responsible citizens of the future.

“We are glad to partner with Sport360° to nurture young talent in the UAE via the Emirates Islamic National School Football League.”

Supporting sponsors Stadium and technical partners E-Sports will ensure both coaches and players taking part will receive dedicated guidance at first-class venues and compete in top-notch kit. The finals will be played at UAE Football Association facilities.

Marketing manager for Stadium Samantha Warrayat said: “Football is a hugely popular sport at all levels across the UAE and Stadium is very excited about its sponsorship of the National School League Football.

“Being affiliated with the league at this grassroots level is exciting for our brand, which embraces at its core the key values of passion for sport combined with promoting a sustained fit and active lifestyle from infancy to adulthood.”

“The NSL is a unique and powerful platform to showcase and reward the ambitions and achievements of school sports. Building on the success of our cricket and basketball school leagues, we are very excited to now expand our league into football.

The response from schools and children has been overwhelming and we are anticipating a thrilling first season. We would like to thank our partners Emirates Islamic, Stadium, Umbro, Daman and National Ambulance for their support and wish good luck to everyone involved,” added Matt Burn, Sports Event Manager at Sport360.

The Emirates Islamic National School Football League will be played across three geographical groups – Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Sharjah and Northern Emirates and Dubai split into two sections. Each team will play every team within their league once, playing one game per week.

A squad of 12 players will be selected for the games, which will run for two 20-minute halves. The top two from each pool will progress to the final series.
