Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel said he was unaware of a midweek trip star player Neymar reportedly took to Italy just two days before the Coupe de France final.
Italian media reported Neymar was in Turin on Thursday to attend an event with Juventus winger Douglas Costa, the Brazilian’s friend and compatriot.
The 27-year-old returned from a three-month injury layoff last weekend during PSG’s title-clinching win over Monaco, coming off the bench in an appearance that could have been a warm-up ahead of being restored to the starting XI for Saturday’s final against Rennes.
“I do not know about it,” Tuchel told reporters on Friday, as quoted by Goal.
“I’m not his father, not the police, not a detective.
“I’m the head coach and he was at training yesterday and with us today. That’s it.”
