Real Madrid legend Raul had divided loyalties at the weekend.

On the one hand, Raul is a Los Blancos legend, who recently returned to the club in an advisory capacity, and would no doubt have wanted Real Madrid’s academy side to win its fixture against SEK Castillo.

On the other hand, how could he root against his son?

Jorge Gonzalez turned out at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas turf, but in opposition colours, as he was playing for the football side of SEK Castillo, the school where he studies.

Jorge, named after Jorge Valdano, is Raul’s eldest of five children.

The 16-year-old’s footballing education has already made multiple stops around the globe.

When he was 11 years old, he played for the junior team of Fortuna Dusseldorf when his father was playing for Schalke.

Later, in the United States, when Raul was playing for New York Cosmos, youngster turned out for the prestigious Fordham Prep high school side last year.

After showing prolific form for Fordham, he’s now taken the next step in his footballing career upon his return to Spain, playing for SEK Castillo.

Jorge posted the photo above on his Instagram on Wednesday with the message: “It’s not about where you are now, but rather where you want to get.”

Raul scored 323 goals in 741 games for Real Madrid, winning the Champions League three times to go six league titles.

Now, Jorge is looking to follow in his famous father’s footsteps.
