A host of players are being linked to Real Madrid this transfer window, the most high profile being PSG and Brazil star Neymar, despite it being less than a year on from his world-record €222 million (AED953 million) move to the French champions from Real’s great rivals, Barcelona.
The rumours are only set to grow in strength after the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released a video showing Croatian midfielder Luka Modric appearing to encourage Neymar to join him at Real Madrid following Sunday’s friendly between Brazil and Croatia at Anfield.
The 26-year-old Brazilian played a starring role in his first appearance since February, coming off the bench to score a brilliant opening goal in Brazil’s 2-0 win.
Afterwards, he was filmed swapping signed shirts with Modric outside the change rooms, and if you listen very closely the Croatian can be heard saying, “We’re waiting for you,” prompting a smile from Neymar.
Will we see Neymar run out for Los Blancos against Barcelona next year? Check out the video below an decide for yourself.
