Even though Vinicius Junior wore number 28 during the pre-season, it appears the Brazilian will don No16 for the upcoming season.
Real Madrid defender Marcelo accidentally revealed the teenager’s number in his Instagram story of the dressing room, which shows Vinicius sitting in front of the number 16 locker, which also has his name on it.

The number is significant because it likely means Vinicius will be a member of Madrid’s first team this season. How much he sees the field, however, will largely depend on his development, with the 18-year-old still needing to adjust to European football.
Still, there’s reason for excitement at the Bernabeu regarding the young talent.
