The Welshman is expected to take centre stage at Madrid this season following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, and his manager was keen to talk up the 29-year-old.
“Bale is a player we love, he has been here a long time and has been training hard,” Lopetegui said at his pre-match press conference.
“He is motivated and is an important player who forms part of the team, and being a team is what is important.
“We need great players like him, and I’m more than happy with his work and attitude.
“We have player who is a super professional player in all aspects, who is training with the motivation of a youth player and who is helping us enormously.
“Yet I wouldn’t want to rely on one or two players.
“It is the team which is the main thing, and we will help Bale have a great season.”
29 Los Blancos stars will be at Julen Lopetegui’s disposal as the team travel to Tallinn in Estonia, including Luka Modric.
Initially, it was thought the mercurial Croatian would miss the match and be handed more time to work on his fitness after returning back from the World Cup late.
But, now, there is a chance he could figure.

Whites boss Julen Lopetegui, according to Marca, will leave the Croatian at home given the 32-year-old has featured for just 15 minutes in pre-season so far.
That run-out came from the bench in the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy match with AC Milan last Saturday and Modric will be allowed more time to reach his top fitness level having returned late to training after his World Cup exertions.
Aside from that, Lopetegui will have a full Los Blancos squad to choose from.
Modric could though feature in the club’s La Liga opener against Getafe this coming weekend.
