    1:30pm – Real Madrid stars Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema nominated for Ballon d’Or

    Los Blancos heroes Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema are among the first nominees announced for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

    The honour, now separate from FIFA’s own Best player of the year award, is bestowed annually by France football magazine with the 30 nominees announced in groups of five, in alphabetical order.

    11:03am – Real Madrid want Harry Kane to solve their lack of goals

    After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid are suffering a goal drought with no goals in the last four games.

    The problem came to a head on the weekend when Los Blancos suffered a shock 1-0 reverse to Alaves in LaLiga.

    The Spanish giants desperately need a new a new striker and following reports on Spain they have placed Tottenham Hotspur marksman Harry Kane at the top of their list.
