  • Gareth Bale was touted to lead the troops at Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus left a gaping hole in Los Blancos’ frontline. But the Welshman has done little to convince that he’s the heir to the vacant throne at Madrid, who are reportedly working to rope in a winger who might just do the job.

Suso has been AC Milan’s main man this season and has been involved in 12 goals in 11 appearances for the Italian club.

Corriere della Sera reports that Madrid are after the winger who can operate as an attacking player too, if needed.

Suso’s release clause of €38m is valid for foreign clubs only until July 15th. Hence, it shouldn’t be surprising if Los Blancos were to make a move for the winger in the winter transfer window.

Los Merengues are said to face some stiff competition from Premier League giants, Chelsea. Suso’s agent Alessandro Lucci is believed to have had contact with Chelsea’s Marina Granovskaia.

Milan, on the other hand want to tie the player to a new contract with a higher release clause or even remove it altogether and force the clubs to negotiate with them.
