  • Vinicius Junior.

Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Junior is beginning to make a name for himself in the Spanish capital. His case was amplified after his cameo against Real Valladolid which tilted the game in Real Madrid’s favour.

However, he’s yet to win over Brazil coach Tite who believes that the 18-year-old needs to be more lucid with his decision making.

The teenager did feature for his country at an underage level and Tite confessed that he even considered calling the player up for his World Cup squad but eventually decided against it.

“I thought about [the World Cup] but it was a difficult period for him because he was leaving Flamengo at that time,” he told Globoesporte.

“They were the club who developed him and he was going through an adaptation phase at Real Madrid.

“He is yet to have the maturity necessary to be more lucid when it comes to making decisions.”

The 57-year-old did shower some praise on the former Flamengo man and maintained that he is extremely talented and has some desirable traits in his game, but decision making is currently not one of them.

“He is a very good dribbler, particularly in one-on-one situations but he just lacks a little bit of decision making.

“I think he is an individualistic player but he knows how to listen to those around him.
