  • Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema finally slipped into his scoring shoes after netting three goals in his last two starts and is relishing the away clash against Eibar on Saturday.

The Frenchman credits new boss Santiago Solari and some of the senior players in the squad for Real Madrid’s ‘revival’ after a nightmare start under Julen Lopetegui.

“[Santiago Solari] is a calm coach, very good for us and we are very good now and we will continue like this,” he told Real Madrid TV.

“[Sergio Ramos] is our leader and an example for everyone and [Vinicius Jr] is very quick and has to be patient to get experience, but he’s going to be a star.”

“[Gareth] Bale is a formidable player, with an impressive speed and when he is physically well, he helps us a lot.

“[Casemiro] gives us balance and you can see when he isn’t there as he is very strong and helps the team a lot.

“I love [Alvaro Odriozola], as he attacks and defends well, he is very fast and when he has the ball he looks for me.”

Los Blancos are unbeaten under Solari and with Benzema rediscovering his old magic, the Madrid side should face no problems at Ipurua Municipal Stadium.
