Tottenham have quoted Real Madrid a world-record €250 million fee if they are to land playmaker Christian Eriksen, according to reports.
Eriksen, 26, has emerged as one of the sport’s best midfielders since he headed to North London from Ajax for £11 million in August 2013. His latest feat came in midweek when he came off the substitutes’ bench and notched a vital winner against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Marca have stated that Los Blancos have identified Eriksen as the ideal long-term replacement for Luka Modric – himself an ex-Spurs star. But their overtures have met with the usual sky-high demands from chairman Daniel Levy.
Eriksen has scored two goals in 15 club appearances this term.
