Brazilian legend Ronaldo – who completed a take-over at Real Valladolid – is yet to make a significant move ahead of the transfer window opening next month.

There have been talks that the former Galactico is looking to rope in countryman Vinicius Junior on loan from Real Madrid.

With Real Madrid enduring a crisis, the chances of this move materialising appear to be bleak. However, Ronaldo claims to have spoken to Los Blancos president Florentino Perez but deemed it difficult.

“I’ve already asked Florentino [for Vinicius Junior], but it’s very difficult,” Ronaldo told Sports Breakfast Europa Press.

The 42-year-old believes that Madrid are favourites to win the Club World Cup, despite their dip in form.

“Teams go there knowing that they will suffer when they face Real Madrid,” he confirmed.

“They aren’t at their best in this moment, but in these kind of competitions, Real Madrid are better.”
