Former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho reminded the world about his achievements at the Spanish capital, following a series of criticism in the past few months.
The Portuguese – who was sacked as Manchester United’s manager after their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in December – found the need to bring up some of his past achievementsin Spain.
“People sometimes forget [my successes] because the Champions League is worldwide,” Mourinho said to beIN SPORTS.
“But we won the Spanish cup and the league with a record 100 points.
“To get 100 points you need to win matches – a lot of matches – and [we achieved] the record for goals scored.
“And when people tell a lie many times – some people think it’s true but it’s a lie.
“You can tell a lie one thousand times but it’s still a lie.
“With Madrid, we have the record for goals scored in Spanish football.”
