Real Madrid were handed a significant boost as Toni Kroos and Marcos Llorente were deemed fit to face Girona in Los Blancos’ Copa Del Rey quarterfinal tie on Thursday, according to Marca.

Both the players trained with the team last week and could feature in Madrid’s clash at the Santiago Bernabeu.

This comes as a relief to Santiago Solari, who has had to endure a tough task choosing 11 players every game, amid the ongoing injury crisis.

However, two crucial figures in Madrid’s attack Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio must wait longer until they are ready to take the field.

The pair are not expected to be match-fit until next week and will be missing Madrid’s trip to Cornella-El Prat as they take on Espanyol in the league.

Although, they could be ready for the second leg of the Copa Del Rey, for Madrid’s second visit to Catalonia in the same week.
