Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid has hit a major stumbling block after talks collapsed over the transfer fee, according to London Standard.

Real Madrid chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez met with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in attempt to conclude a deal for the Belgium international.

However, the two clubs remain miles apart in their valuations of the forward, whose contract expires next year, with Chelsea seeking a fee in excess of £100 million.

The report states Sanchez left London without an agreement being reached.

Hazard has made clear numerous times his desire to end a seven-year stay with the Blues, most recently after inspiring his side to a Europa League triumph against Arsenal.

Concern will now grow in the Hazard camp about whether a move will be secured. Madrid, though, have already captured Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt for £60 million.

Los Blancos are also lining up a deal for Lyon full-back Ferland Mendy for €50m, although the Ligue 1 giants on Tuesday say talk of a transfer being agreed is not yet true.
