  • Juventus-bound: Benatia (centre).

The transfer window continues to gather pace as clubs prepare for the 2016-17 European season—a year which threatens to be one of the most exciting in recent memory as football’s wealth continues to spread ever wider across the European game.

Sport360 rounds-up some of the major transfer stories this Saturday:

Mehdi Benatia (Bayern to Juventus, loan)

More impressive work from the Old Lady, who bring the Morocco defender back to Serie A from Bayern Munich.

The deal is for an initial one-year loan for €3million (Dh12.2m), with a €17m (Dh69m) option to make the switch permanent.

Toni Sanabria (Roma to Real Betis, €7.5 million)

The Paraguay striker has become Betis’ seventh signing of the summer. They have agreed a permanent deal with Roma which gives the Serie A side future options to buy him back.

Sanabria impressed on loan in La Liga last term, scoring 11 goals in 29 games for Gijon.

Mario Gotze (Bayern to Borussia Dortmund, in talks)

The forward’s stuttering career appears to be coming full circle as his current and former clubs enter negotiations about a move back to the Westfalenstadion.

Bild report the 24-year-old is surplus to requirements in Munich, with a five-year deal about to be signed.

N’Golo Kante (Leicester City to Chelsea, in talks)
