    JAMES RODRIGUEZ

The Real Madrid playmaker is currently on international duty with Colombia but is no closer to a resolution over his long-term club future.

According to Madrid-based daily newspaper Marca, the 25-year-old is expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer but interest has cooled from Chelsea while his agent, the famed Jorge Mendes, has yet been unable to make inroads into any other deals.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane is currently on holiday – and transfer activity has seemingly been put on hold – leaving both the ex-Monaco man and team-mate Alvaro Morata somewhat in the dark over their immediate futures.

Despite scoring 11 goals in an historic campaign for the Whites, Rodriguez struggled for regular first-team action and looks set to end his three-season stay in the Spanish capital.

    RATING: 8/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: There may be a slight delay to transfer negotiations concerning Rodriguez but don’t expect him to be a Los Blancos player for much longer.

    DENIS SUAREZ

Roma are closing in on the signing of the Barcelona midfielder, according to Catalan-based newspaper Sport.

Sporting director Monchi is confident he can convince the 23-year-old to move to Serie A – a player the former Sevilla football guru knows well from their time together at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium during the 2014-15 season.

Suarez, who played a bit part role for Barca last term, reportedly wants to stay and fight for his place under Ernesto Valverde – though the club have an embarrassment of riches in the midfield department.

    RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: A move to Italy could really reignite Suarez’s career and the chance to link-up with Monchi again is an opportunity he will not want to pass up.

Will Suarez become part of a new-look Roma next term?

    DOUGLAS COSTA

Juventus are closing in on the signing of the Bayern Munich man, according to reports in Italy.

The 26-year-old winger, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United, is a top target for Juve this summer and Italian news outlet Tuttosport is reporting the Serie A club will rev up their interest in the coming days.

Costa was in and out of the Bayern team last term – but Carlo Ancelotti is said to still be keen to keep the player.

    RATING: 7/10

SPORT360 VERDICT: This deal will likely come down to the size of the transfer fee involved while Old Lady manager Massimiliano Allegri will likely try to do his bit to get the player to sign.
