Dani Alves is expected to reunite with Pep Guardiola after reportedly agreeing a two-year deal to move to Manchester City.
The duo worked together and enjoyed much success during the Spaniard’s three-year reign at the helm with Barcelona.
The Brazilian posted a farewell message to Juventus on Instagram on Tuesday after a season with the club.
Alves was allowed to leave Camp Nou for Juventus on a free last summer and promised the Barcelona board at the time that they would miss him, a vow it’s safe to say he kept.
The Brazilian starred for the Serie A giants in Turin, proving to be one of their best and most influential players as they secured a domestic double and finished as runners-up in the Champions League.
“I would like to thank all the fans of Juventus for the last year,” Alves said in his message.
“Today ends our professional relationship and I will carry with me all who make Juventus a big club.”
He also reserved special thanks for Juventus director Giusepe Marotta.
“I feel I must say thank you to Mr. Marota for the opportunity he gave me.”
Alves is expected to complete his move to City in the coming days.
