    PHILIPPE COUTINHO

French giants PSG are set to test the resolve of Liverpool to hang on to playmaker Philippe Coutinho, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Brazilian midfielder committed his long-term future to the Reds earlier this year by signing a new contract but the Merseysiders would be willing to part with one of their star performers if they received €100m (£87.7m) from PSG.

Barcelona’s interest in the 25-year-old has been well-established but they seem to be taking a long-term approach to convincing Coutinho to move.

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Coutinho has been the subject of interest from PSG and Barcelona in the past, but it is unlikely he will leave after committing his future to the Reds by new signing a new five-and-half-year deal earlier this year.

With Champions League football to look forward to next season, Jurgen Klopp will need his chief playmaker at his best if the Reds are to succeed on the European stage.

    LEONARDO BOUNCCI

Barcelona lead the race to sign Juventus star Leonardo Bonucci, according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea and Manchester City looked in pole position to sign the Italian international, but if he is to leave the Serie A champions this summer he is believed to want a move to the Camp Nou.

    RATING: 6/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

The Juventus star has established himself as one of Europe’s finest defenders and has attracted serious interest from the continent’s elite.

The Italian international has made it clear in the past that he is happy at the Old Lady – where he is under contract until 2021 – but a move to La Liga and the prospect of playing for Barcelona would be difficult to turn down.

Although almost 30, Bonucci has plenty of years ahead of him at the top level, and would be a perfect partner for Gerard Pique in defence for Ernesto Valverde’s side.

    DANILO

Chelsea have enquired about Real Madrid’s in-demand full-back Danilo, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The Brazilian has struggled to command a regular first-team spot during his two-year stay at the Bernabeu and Real could be tempted to let him leave if they receive an offer of 35million euros (£30.7m).

However, the Premier League champions face competition for his signature with Serie A titlists Juventus also expressing an interest in the former Santos and Porto right-back.

    RATING: 4/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

With the Blues struggling to sign defensive targets Leonardo Bonucci and Virgil van Dijk, Antonio Conte has been linked with launching a bid to land the Brazilian international’s signature.

Danilo represents a world-class option but it is unlikely he will leave the Bernabeu this summer after such a majestic 2016-17 campaign.
