  • Reports in his home country are suggesting NEYMAR has sensationally agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain, with the French giants apparently happy to meet the Vrazilian’s release clause of €222million (£197.3million).

Barcelona-based Brazilian journalist Marcelo Bechler reports that Neymar has been convinced of the PSG project and has verbally agreed a contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

The 25-year-old’s close friend and compatriot Dani Alves recently snubbed a move to Man City in favour of joining PSG and it seems that may have been part of the club’s attempt to lure Neymar to Ligue 1.

Meeting the release clause means Barca would not be able to stop Neymar leaving if he wanted to go.

Chelsea are busy searching for a striker to replace DIEGO COSTA but Tuttosport are reporting that Juventus have rejected their £88m move for Gonzalo Higuain.

Chelsea are keen to pay the same price the Turin titans the same fee they forked out to Napoli for the 29-year-old last summer, but their initial offer has been flatly rejected by the club’s CEO Beppe Marotta.

The Blues have also pulled out of a move for Real Madrid striker ALVARO MORATA with owner Roman Abramovich not willing to pay over the odds for Real Madrid’s 24-year-old striker, who could instead be heading to Italy.

Although the Daily Star reports Abramovich is unwilling to pay £63m for the Spaniard, Gazzetta dello Sport say Morata is likely to turn down a move to Premier League champions and instead opt to join the AC Milan revolution.

In their disappointing search for a striker so far, Borussia Dortmund have decided to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the striker was linked with a £70m move to Stamford Bridge, while Sky Sports have reported they have a “serious and strong interest” in Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, 29.

Chelsea also look set to miss out on Juve’s Brazil left-back Alex Sandro, 26, as the Serie A club do not want to lose another defender having sold Italy international Leonardo Bonucci to Milan.

On the other side of defence, meanwhile, they are refusing to meet Madrid’s €30.8m asking price to sign Brazilian right-back Danilo.

Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of Internazionale midfielder IVAN PERISIC, 28, in the next few days in a deal worth £48m, say The Independent – although the Croatia winger will head to China with the San Siro giants for pre-season.

United are confident they can seal a deal for the Croatia international by Thursday. But, in a shock twist, Perisic will now travel out for the Far East with the Inter squad. The winger was pictured at the airport with team-mates ready to jet out to the Far East.

United’s French forward Anthony Martial, 21, may be used in a swap deal for Perisic.

Sky Sports News expect the Austrian’s move to West Ham to be completed this week with an agreement close to being reached with Stoke.

The news comes after the Hammers saw two bids rejected last week, the second of which was for £20m, for the 28-year-old forward. The Hammers’ third bid is expected to seal the deal.

    WILFRIED BONY

Premier League side Swansea have approached Manchester City over the possibility of bringing the Ivorian international back to Wales, according to Foot Mercato.

Bony has not travelled with the City squad to America as speculation mounts about his future. The Swans’ approach is currently being considered by the player’s entourage, who have not dismissed it out of hand.

Besiktas, Fenerbahce and West Brom remain in regular contact over a possible move. Lille and Marseille have also made approaches for the 28-year-old.

    CHRISTIAN BENTEKE

Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer is convinced Benteke will stay at Selhurst Park amid speculation linking him to Premier League rivals.

Benteke, 26, has been most consistently reported as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku at Everton after the striker’s switch to Manchester United, whilst Chelsea have also monitored the Palace striker.

Arsenal have rejected a £6.2m offer from Sampdoria for the injury-plagued midfielder 25, according to Di Marzio. The Englishman needs a fresh start and if he were to head to Genoa he would walk a path well-trodden by his compatriots.
