  • Dembele is trying to force a move away from Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele has been criticised by his own team-mates for skipping a training session and trying to force a move to Barcelona.

Midfielder Gonzalo Castro has come out and said what most of his colleagues have apparently been thinking about the 20-year-old Frenchman.

“We will sort this out behind closed doors. But we must say clearly that this cannot happen and that his behaviour is bad for the team,” the 30-year-old said, as quoted by Marca.

He added: “If a player can say ‘as another team wants me I won’t train any more’, that is terrible for football.”

Dembele has been suspended by his club for not turning up for training, as Barcelona and Dortmund struggle to reach an agreement for the young talent.

Meanwhile, defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos too expressed his feelings about the former Rennes star, saying: “Ousmane is a young kid but he needs to realise that no one player is bigger than the team. We all need to understand that we need to work for the team,”
