    DAVID SILVA

Liverpool are plotting a move for Man City star David Silva, according to the Sun.

The Spaniard is in the form of his life – and is in talks with the club about extending his current deal beyond 2019.

The 31-year-old is one of City’s most successful players and is chasing a third Premier League crown since arriving in England’s north west in 2010.

Inter Milan are also eyeing a move for the midfield maestro.

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Silva is a key part of Guardiola’s plans and officials at the Etihad Stadium are keen to tie him down til 2020.

Although Inter and Liverpool may offer a more significant salary, the Spaniard has the chance of being part of a winning set-up – with the Sky Blues looking like an unbeatable force over the past 10 weeks.

    LEON GORETZKA

Tottenham have joined Arsenal in a bid to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite widespread reports that Bayern have already secured a deal with Goretzka – who is out of contract at the end of season – the two North London clubs are ready to nip in and agree a deal with the German international.

    RATING: 6/10

Goretzka is one of the stars of German football after his stunning displays for Joachim Low’s side in the Confederations Cup during the summer.

With Bayern Munich considered front runners to sign him, the 22-year-old could opt to pursue a new challenge in the Premier League instead as Arsenal look for a midfielder capable of pulling the strings for years to come.

    JONNY EVANS

Man City and Everton are fighting out to sign West Brom defender Jonny Evans, according to The Sun.

The Baggies are willing to sell their captain but seek a £35 million asking price, with City set to table a bid for a lower price as they now have other options to hold their defence.

Everton have reportedly entered the race for the Northern Irishman, with owner Farhad Moshiri prepared to launch a mammoth bid to keep the Toffees safe.

It may come down to where Evans wants to go — heading back to Manchester to fight for a game in Pep Guardiola’s impressive side or start every week with the struggling Merseysiders.
