Arsenal are to hold talks with representatives of Malcom this week as they look find a replacement for wantaway attacker Alexis Sanchez, according to Calciomercato.
City are negotiating with Arsenal over a deal to take the Chilean international to the Etihad Stadium, with the North London side holding out for £30 million.
If Sanchez leaves, Arsene Wenger will need to bolster his attacking options with Malcom emerging as a key target.
However, Bordeaux are believed to be looking for more than £55m for the Brazilian wonderkid – a fee Arsenal would be unwilling to pay.
The 20-year-old has been one of the mainstays in a struggling Bordeaux side this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 18 games.
Although his club are languishing in 15th place in Ligue 1, Malcom has been taking the league by storm with his glittering footwork and passing ability.
As Wenger looks to strengthen his squad, the ace marksman could inject more class in an already star-studded attack.
