  • Jan Oblak has become one of the world's best goalkeepers at Atletico.

Though the summer transfer window is still a few months away, that hasn’t stopped the rumours of players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in June.

    JAN OBLAK

Arsenal and Chelsea will lock horns in a two-way battle to sign the in-demand Atletico Madrid goalkeeper this summer.

According to the Sunday Express, the Gunners and Stamford Bridge club have both made the Slovenian international their top summer transfer target.

With Petr Cech coming to the end of his career following a difficult season and speculation linking Thibaut Courtois with a return to La Liga, Oblak is a good fit for the Premier League duo.

Although Atleti boss Diego Simeone will be determined to keep hold of his No.1 shot-stopper, the 25-year-old’s £88 million (Dh456m) release clause could be met by either of the London sides.

    MILAN SKRINIAR

Manchester United will have to come up with an offer of £60m (Dh311m) to prise the Inter Milan defender away from the San Siro.

Calciomercato reports that the 23-year-old Slovak is on United’s radar as Jose Mourinho’s men seek defensive reinforcements, with the likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Daley Blind all potentially heading out of the Old Trafford exit door.

Skriniar, who has enjoyed a strong season at the Italian giants following his switch from Sampdoria last summer, is not thought to be seeking another move so soon – though a big-money offer from United could prove tempting.

Part of the Skriniar’s appeal is that he is also capable of playing in defensive midfield, offering the Premier League side another option with Michael Carrick retiring and there being long-term doubts over the future of Paul Pogba.
