    CENGIZ UNDER

The 20-year-old Roma prodigy has revealed he turned down the chance to join Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City last summer, instead choosing to make his way in Serie A.

According to Turkish-based publication Spor Arena, the winger had an offer to sign for the Premier League side but instead opted to move to Roma from Istanbul Basaksehir.

While City are still thought to be interested in his services moving forward, Under revealed regular first-team football with the Italian giants was his main motivation behind his switch to the Stadio Olimpico.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah‘s transfer to Liverpool also left a big attacking void to be filled.

The Turkey international has scored six goals in all competitions this season and is set to feature in the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona.

    CLEMENT LENGLET

Barcelona could consider a summer swoop for the 22-year-old Sevilla centre-back, according to Sport.

Blaugrana want to boost competition in defence and see the Frenchman as a man who fits the mould at Camp Nou.

Lenglet, who likes to bring the ball out of defence, has quickly developed into a key star for the Andalusia side – with the former Nancy ace helping Sevilla to the Champions League quarter-finals.

With Thomas Vermaelen likely to leave Catalonia once this campaign is out and Colombian Yerry Mina still finding his feet in Spain, the centre-back is a viable alternative option.
