West Ham are considering re-signing the playmaker, according to Goal.

The Frenchman, who left the Hammers in January 2017 under a cloud following a highly publicised falling out, has since reignited his career at Ligue 1 giants Marseille.

Injury ended Payet’s hopes of making the Les Bleus World Cup squad and now Marseille have reportedly offered the 31-year-old to the Hammers.

New boss Manuel Pellegrini now has a decision to make over whether or not he conjures up a bid for the schemer, who enjoyed a vintage 2015-16 campaign with the East London side – netting 12 goals.

Set to return to east London? Payet.

    NIKOLA KALINIC

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are locked in a two-way fight for the AC Milan striker, Sky Sport Italia reports.

The 30-year-old Croat, who made headlines during the World Cup when he refused to come on as a late substitute for his country against Nigeria due to a back injury and was later sent home, is allowed to leave the San Siro side.

It is now down to Atleti and the Andalusian side to come up with a suitable bid to prise the forward away from Serie A.

Kalinic is valued at round €25 million (Dh 107m) and according to Milan’s sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli, the player has already held talks with rumoured clubs.
