  • Manchester United are running out of patience in their pursuit of Harry Maguire – which means they may move on to signing Barcelona defender Yerry Mina as soon as this week.

Leicester will not leave England hero Maguire leave the club for anything less than €70 million while Mina would be available at around €40m, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

Jose Mourinho would prefer a player who is more experienced or at least a proven quantity in English football, which is why they have been reluctant to give up the chase for Maguire. However, United are running out of time as the Premier League transfer window ends on August 9.

Mina, 23, is more potential than ability at present but impressed alongside Tottenham centre-back Davinson Sanchez at the World Cup with Colombia.

Barca are seemingly willing to let him go after just seven months, having bolstered their defence by signing Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet while also planning to keep Thomas Vermaelen at the club.
