  • Islam Slimani's Premier League stint could be coming towards an end.

Leicester striker Islam Slimani has joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal.

Slimani, Leicester’s record signing for a fee close to £30 million in 2016, has failed to make an impact in the Midlands and spent the second half of last season at Newcastle.

The 30-year-old has now moved on to Turkey, with Fenerbahce announcing on Saturday night that he had passed his medical and signed his contract.

Slimani has scored 12 goals in 47 appearances for Leicester, but failed to replicate the one-in-two form he showed at Sporting Lisbon which prompted former City boss Claudio Ranieri to sign him.
