The Germany international is inching closer to a switch to Parc des Princes, with the deal hinging on Bayern completing a move for French international Benjamin Pavard.
Boateng has been a stalwart in the Bavarians’ backline since 2011, winning six Bundesliga titles and a Champions League medal during that time, but had admitted last season that he has accomplished everything with the German giants.
The 29-year-old is contracted to the Allianz Arena until 2021 but was subject to a move to the Premier League this season. However, he now looks set for a move to the French capital for the 2018-19 season.
