Gianluigi Buffon wants his former Juventus team-mate Claudio Marchisio to sign for PSG, claims Le10Sport.
The 32-year-old midfielder, who entered the Juve academy as a seven-year-old in 1993 and made his senior debut in 2005, left the Italian champions by mutual consent on Saturday.
Should Buffon fail to bring the Marchisio to the French capital, the 32-year-old could join MLS side Montreal Impact.
The Wales international has just one year left on his contract and has therefore attracted the attention of several teams.
With a lack of progress over agreeing on fresh terms at the Emirates Stadium, United and the Blues are hoping to move for the 27-year-old in the January transfer window.
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has said that wantaway Germany centre-back Jerome Boateng could still move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Boateng, 29, has expressed a desire to leave the dominant Bundesliga champions after seven trophy laden campaigns.
“Jerome told [CEO] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that he wants to change, and if he finds a club, we’ll find a solution,” Hoeness told Sky Sports.
“Only Paris is eligible, if they pay accordingly. We’ll deal with that – and if they do not, he’ll stay with us.”
PSG have already raided the Bundesliga this summer for Schalke centre-back Thilo Kehrer.
