  • The winter transfer window is a little over a month away, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours of various players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in January.

    RADAMEL FALCAO

Real Madrid have been given the opportunity to sign the Colombian in the January window, according to Marca.

The former Atletico Madrid forward has been in and out of the Monaco side since the arrival of Thierry Henry, scoring just four goals in 11 Ligue 1 matches this term.

Falcao propelled Monaco to the Ligue 1 title two seasons ago and has been one of their better players this term despite failing to firing against stronger opposition.

The 32-year-old only signed a new deal with the French Riviera side in the summer of 2017 and has another 18 months remaining on his current contract.

    FRENKIE DE JONG

The Dutchman has become Barcelona’s top priority in the transfer market, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish giants are seeking a long-term replacement for Sergio Busquets and to that end, have identified the Ajax midfielder as the chief candidate.

Busquets is still going strong at the age of 30 but De Jong’s rapid development means Barcelona risk losing out to another club unless they act quickly.

The 21-year-old, who still has four years remaining on his contract, has also been monitored by Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
